Surgical procedures
Both one-day and multi-day surgical procedures are available at Dr. Rose Private Hospital. Our general surgical procedures are mainly focused on abdominal, proctological and endocrinological disorders. Advances in surgical techniques have made it possible to perform some of the earlier open surgery using laparoscopic surgery, which is much less stressful for the patient and results in a faster recovery with fewer complications. The number of surgical areas where endoscopic surgery can be used is constantly increasing: gall bladder removal, hernia, gastric sleeve surgery, etc.
MESH ENHANCES BREAST AUGMENTATION
If an implant happens to move after a breast augmentation operation, it is a big letdown as surgery costs a lot of money, not to mention the recovery time. Unfortunately, if the breast tissues and ligaments are lax, this can easily happen, but the Tio2Mesh mesh can help solve this problem.
Ear surgery
When correcting a protruding or disproportionately large ear, not only can the angle of the ears with the skull be reduced or the cochlea arch be refined, but the earlobes can also be made smaller. At the earliest, the procedure can be performed from the age of 5, which has the advantage that the ear can be shaped even more easily due to the flexibility of the cartilage and the cochlea at a young age. There are no visible signs of ear surgery as the scars remain hidden.
Bunion surgery
A bunion (hallux valgus) is one of the most common orthopedic deformities of the forefoot, affecting the big toe and the metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint where the toe connects to the foot. With this joint deformity, the first metatarsal bone moves toward the body’s median line, and the big toe moves inwards towards the other toes, which may be accompanied by painful swelling or a bony growth on the inner edge of the foot. Depending on the bunion’s severity, complaints can range from a purely aesthetic problem to serious pain, difficulty wearing shoes, or compression and deformation of the adjacent toes. Statistically, this deformity occurs much more often in women than in men. In some cases, bunions can be treated with non-surgical methods and conservative treatment - e.g., special insoles, physiotherapy or pain relief - but in advanced stages, surgery is often the only permanent solution.
Weight loss through medication
In recent months, the term “weight-loss injection” has become increasingly common on social media and news platforms. Some hail it as a miracle cure, others remain sceptical – but what exactly is it? These so-called “slimming injections” are actually GLP-1 agonists: medications originally developed to help people with diabetes, but now also proving remarkably effective in aiding weight loss. So, how do these treatments work in the body, who are they suitable for, and what are the benefits and risks? Dr Zsuzsa Szpaszkij, consultant endocrinologist at Dr Rose Private Hospital, answers the most important questions.
THE NOSE JOB THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING
The nose is one of the most important parts of the face, strongly determining its look and character. Many people are dissatisfied with their nose, thinking it is too big or even misshapen. Alongside aesthetic reasons, health reasons cannot be neglected as in many cases a rhinoplasty can solve breathing problems. The aim of the surgery is to eliminate the health or aesthetic problems and to achieve the desired shape and function of the nose.
Vaginoplasty
There are various clinical indications for vaginoplasty. Distinctions are made between those with a weakening of the anterior vaginal wall and those with a weakening of the posterior vaginal wall, or those with a lax vaginal wall due to a tissue disorder, for which vaginoplasty may be necessary. Weakening of the vaginal wall can be caused both by giving birth and by a connective tissue disorder. Depending on the symptoms, a separate anterior and posterior wall, or a combined anterior and posterior vaginoplasty may be performed.
