Internal medicine

Internal medicine is one of the most complex fields of general medicine, in which, in addition to treatment, prevention is also playing an increasingly important role. The internal medicine specialist mainly deals with pathological changes and dysfunctions of the internal organs and organ systems. Many disciplines are based on internal medicine, such as: diabetology for diabetes, gastroenterology for the digestive system, endocrinology for hormone function, nephrology for kidney disease, cardiology for cardiovascular disease, pulmonology for the respiratory system and hematology for dealing with blood disorders.The internal medicine specialist coordinates these disciplines when treating the patient. This role is comparable to that of a general practitioner, as it may either cure only one acute illness or play a caring role for years in the treatment of chronic diseases.

Manager screenings

In our comprehensive manager screening packages, we focus on the investigation of malignancies, cardiovascular diseases and metabolic disorders, taking into account the extra burdens of our stressful, busy lives. Each manager screening package includes specialist, imaging, laboratory and diagnostic examinations too. In addition to detailed internal medicine, gynecology/urology and ophthalmology specialist examinations, numerous laboratory and imaging diagnostic tests help to detect the most predominant diseases that have not yet caused complaints. Further details can be found HERE. We recommend our Komplex manager screening package primarily to those who, in addition to the Standard manager screening, would like more emphasis on the investigation of cardiovascular and dermatological diseases. In addition to more detailed laboratory and ultrasound examinations than those included in the Standard screening package, we also perform stress ECG and heart ultrasound tests during the cardiology examination. In addition to the examinations included in the Komplex screening package, it includes several additional medical and diagnostic tests with the aim of obtaining a thorough picture of the state of each organ system. Gastroscopy

A gastroscopy is an examination in which an endoscope (a flexible fiber-optic tube) is inserted through the mouth into the upper digestive system. This allows the doctor to examine the mucous membranes of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum (the first part of the small intestine).

Colonoscopy

Colonoscopy is an endoscopic examination of the colon. The endoscope (a flexible fiber-optic tube) is passed through the rectum, through the entire colon to where it meets the small intestine.

Tubal patency ultrasound examination

The tubal patency (HyCoSy) ultrasound examination shows whether a patient can conceive spontaneously or by insemination. We map the condition of the uterus and fallopian tubes. The big advantage of this examination is that it can eliminate small blockages in the fallopian tubes, as we are effectively clearing the fallopian tubes, hence spontaneous conception can occur in the months following the test.

The anterior cruciate ligament is a major determinant of knee joint stability. Tearing this ligament is one of the most common and dreaded sports injuries, though the problem may also be the result of a previous untreated, partially healed injury.
