Endocrinology

Endocrinology is the branch of medicine that deals with diseases and disorders of the endocrine glands. Endocrine glands include, among others, the pituitary gland, thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, adrenal glands, the pancreas, ovaries and testicles. The hormones they produce are transmitted to different parts of the body through the bloodstream to work their effects. The functioning of our hormone system affects our entire body, so altered hormone production affects the functioning of many of our organs. The endocrinologist is responsible for detecting and curing hormone problems and hormone disorders.

Complex breast screening

At Dr. Rose Private Hospital, breast cancer screening is performed with a complex breast diagnostic examination. During the examination, a two-dimensional mammography x-ray of both breasts is taken, and then the patient is immediately examined by a radiologist experienced in breast diagnostics. The procedure includes taking a detailed family and individual medical history, a physical breast examination, and a breast ultrasound. After comparing the results, the radiologist will also recommend a tomosynthesis examination if necessary. This examination protocol ensures the highest accuracy and the fastest results, without unnecessary radiation exposure.

Probiotic cleansing facial treatment strengthens the skin, smooths and refines skin texture, helps to clean the pores and detoxifies the skin. It is excellent for uneven skin tone, aging, oily and acne-prone skin. The probiotic mask used during the treatment supports the skin flora naturally present on the skin and restores the balance of the skin. Pediatric allergology

Allergic conditions can take many forms, which can occur at almost any age, and their incidence in children, adolescents and young adults is constantly increasing worldwide. They can affect the airways (chronic cough, shortness of breath, asthma, laryngeal edema), the eyes (itchy eyes, conjunctivitis, allergic conjunctivitis), the nasal mucosa (nasal congestion, chronic rhinitis, hay fever), the skin (eczema, rashes, hives) and intestinal tract (food sensitivity, food allergies). Genetic predisposition and environmental influences are involved in their development, and the triggering of certain diseases can be considered as pathological reactions to external influences (mostly so-called allergens).

Equally important, it recognizes in good time and destroys the cells in our body that grow into tumors. By inducing tolerance, half of the fetus with its partially ’foreign’ gene pool is allowed to develop in the womb, and the immune system also plays a role in nutrition. Immunology is a science that deals with problems affecting the functioning of the immune system, studying the body's normal and abnormal defense reactions and the possibilities of influencing them.

How do we combat the uncertainty that surrounds us?

The events of recent times have placed our society under a great deal of stress and psychological strain. The constant, virtually unstoppable development of technology has increased the pace of our lives, which means increased demands and pressures not only at work but also day-to-day. Added to this is the pandemic that has disrupted our normal lives, followed by then the war in neighboring Ukraine, with its economic consequences that affect us all. In the midst of this difficult period, we interviewed Dr Erika Kopacz, psychiatrist at Dr. Rose Private Hospital.
