Arteriogram (angiogram)
An arteriogram is a screening examination of the arteries and veins, that is, the blood vessels. With the help of a blood vessel examination, the flexibility or stiffness of the blood vessels’ walls can be determined, which can indicate the degree of atherosclerosis.
Vascular surgery
Vascular surgery treats diseases of the blood vessels, primarily the arteries and veins, via surgery. These include vasoconstriction, varicose veins and vasodilation. Vascular diseases resulting from diabetes and high blood pressure are also addressed by vascular surgery.
