Radiology

Radiology is a medical discipline using various imaging procedures (x-ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT, isotope scan), which is mainly used for diagnostic purposes. The basic task and clinical practical goal of radiological imaging diagnostics is to explore the relationships between the signs seen in the images and the pathological abnormalities behind them. In our radiology department, the examinations are carried out with the help of state-of-the-art digital x-ray devices, mammographs suitable for tomosynthesis and stereotactic sampling in addition to traditional procedures and high-end ultrasound devices. In addition to the use of modern, high-quality surgical instruments, the expertise and experience of our radiologists have a decisive influence on the evaluability of examinations, therefore only highly qualified staff with appropriate professional experience await patients in our hospital. As radiology is fundamentally an interpretive science, so the professional questions and indications formulated in advance by our clinicians significantly help the effectiveness and evaluability of our targeted examinations. Our radiological recordings are digitally available to our patients and specialists. 

Hematology

Hematology deals with diseases of the hematopoietic and lymphatic organs, and one branch of it deals with disorders of blood clotting. Fortunately, severe hematopoietic diseases are rare, but abnormalities in blood counts are very common during routine blood sampling. Complicating matters is the fact that in Hungary, blood tests mean one thing in an everyday sense and something different in a medical sense. According to the vernacular, ‘complete blood count’ is the collective term for all tests performed on blood samples. However, doctors only mean a certain test: an examination of the blood's components, such as white blood cells, red blood cells, a platelet (thrombocyte) count and a few other parameters that are mainly indicative of the condition of the blood (for example hemoglobin, the hematocrit level, or the distribution of white blood cells). Quantitative changes in any of these can disturb the functioning of the body, whether the amount is higher or lower than necessary. It is also possible for several different cellular elements to increase or decrease simultaneously.

Dietetics

Hernia operations

A hernia is when an internal organ is dislocated from its normal anatomical position or cavity through a congenital or acquired opening. Hernias most commonly affect the abdominal wall.The development of a hernia may be asymptomatic or may be accompanied by a heavy, pulling or dull ache, together with a bulging in the affected area. The bulge size may vary. The hernia contents can usually be reinserted into the abdominal cavity through the hernia gate. However, without treatment, there is a risk of hernia exclusion.During an exclusion of the hernia, the contents forming the hernia cannot return to the abdominal cavity, which can damage the blood supply to the excluded intestinal segment, creating an emergency with the risk of life-threatening intestinal necrosis, which can only be treated with urgent surgery.

Bunion surgery

A bunion (hallux valgus) is one of the most common orthopedic deformities of the forefoot, affecting the big toe and the metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint where the toe connects to the foot. With this joint deformity, the first metatarsal bone moves toward the body’s median line, and the big toe moves inwards towards the other toes, which may be accompanied by painful swelling or a bony growth on the inner edge of the foot. Depending on the bunion’s severity, complaints can range from a purely aesthetic problem to serious pain, difficulty wearing shoes, or compression and deformation of the adjacent toes. Statistically, this deformity occurs much more often in women than in men. In some cases, bunions can be treated with non-surgical methods and conservative treatment - e.g., special insoles, physiotherapy or pain relief - but in advanced stages, surgery is often the only permanent solution.

Neck lift

It is inherent in the aging process that the skin loses its elasticity, although the extent of this can vary greatly from individual to individual, as some people tend to develop wrinkles, others experience primarily skin sagging or a combination of these two phenomena. When non-invasive methods - cosmetic treatments, laser procedures - no longer help enough, the ’rejuvenation’ and tightening of the neck skin can be achieved with plastic surgery. In some cases, local liposuction is sufficient, in others it may be necessary to remove excess skin to achieve an optimal effect.

Dermatology

Dermatology is the branch of medicine that deals with the symptoms, pathology and cure of skin diseases. Because of the symptoms, dermatology often interacts with related professions such as internal medicine, allergology / immunology, pathology (histology), microbiology (bacteriology, virology, mycology), and specialized laboratory diagnostics.The dermatologist’s responsibilities include treating conditions relating to the skin, nails, hair, oral mucosa and external genitalia, as well as a number of venereal diseases. An important area of ​​dermatology is the screening of skin cancer and the differentiation of benign (non-cancerous) skin conditions. Annual screening of moles is recommended even when they cause no complaint, as the timely detection of skin cancers - including the most serious type, malignant melanoma - can save lives.

Childhood behavioral disorder package

Our childhood behavioral disorder package aims to detect and alleviate early emotional and behavioral control problems (regulatory disorders) and relationship difficulties, thus supporting a balanced parent-child relationship and the possibility of harmonious development.  A regulatory disorder is nothing more than a behavioral anomaly of infancy and early childhood. Difficulties concerning nutrition, digestion/toileting and sleeping/waking routines could appear, but excessive crying and difficulties achieving calm can also characterize this period. Later this can be accompanied by difficulties paying attention, connecting with peers and processing stimuli.  Disorder occurs when the appearance, intensity and duration of such a problem exceeds the limits of ‘normal’ development and/or is not expected to be resolved without external assistance. Situations and problems which are particularly difficult for parents and considered untreatable or intolerable can also be included, regardless of their clinical relevance.
