Snoring examination (sleep endoscopy)
Snoring affects approximately half of the adult population, primarily impairing sleep quality, but in severe cases it can also be associated with respiratory arrest (respiratory apnea), which can have serious consequences. Snoring is a symptom caused by narrowing of the upper airways during sleep. Sleep endoscopy is a diagnostic procedure in which, using a brief, surface (superficial) anesthesia, the otolaryngologist observes the snoring and possible airway obstruction sites, which helps in selecting the optimal treatment.
Nasopharyngeal tonsil surgery (adenoidectomy)
The nasopharyngeal tonsil (adenoid) is located in the back of the nasal cavity, in the upper part of the pharynx, directly next to the openings of the eustachian tube. The adenoid tonsil participates in the defense against infections, especially in filtering pathogens that enter through the respiratory tract. Its function decreases with age and is no longer essential after a certain age, so the tonsil can be surgically removed based on medical indications.
STONE REMOVAL SURGERY – KIDNEY STONES (PCNL)
One possible form of urolithiasis is kidney stones. If kidney stones cause symptoms or are too large to pass spontaneously, surgical intervention may be necessary. Smaller stones can move and travel down the ureter, causing renal colic.
Breast reduction
While many women feel uncomfortable if they have small breasts, there are also those who experience problems with an excessively large bosom. Breasts that are too big can negatively affect everyday life and may even cause health problems. For them, plastic surgery can provide a suitable solution with a breast augmentation procedure, breast reduction, which can reduce the bust by up to a cup size.
Breast augmentation
Breast augmentation is one of the most common plastic surgeries, in which a silicone breast implant is used to increase the size of the breasts or make up for lost volume which can develop after pregnancy and breastfeeding, following a disease affecting breast tissue or as a feature of age. Nowadays, breast augmentation has become accepted by society. The reason for this lies not only in open communication, but also in the fact that the motto of plastic surgeons for years has been ’natural beauty’, so breast augmentation is no longer synonymous with huge, sometimes grotesque breasts, and most often it is not noticeable that an implant increases breast size.
