Insulin resistance: help is at hand
You are not feeling well, you’ve started to gain weight and can’t lose it even though you are dieting, you have become more tired and sweaty, you get irritated by things for no good reason and sometimes you can't control your appetite - these are the typical complaints that a patient with insulin resistance presents at the endocrinology clinic. These symptoms were described by Dr. Illés Gyula Balogh, Dr. Rose Private Hospital’s endocrinologist and gynecologist, who has had many positive experiences helping infertile couples, indeed often his patients become pregnant after a few months’ treatment, hence his desk is decorated with countless mugs bearing baby photos. We discussed the identification, testing, dangers and healing of insulin resistance with him.

UrologistPsychiatry
More and more people are interested in topics that start with ’psych-’, but sometimes people confuse what a psychiatrist does, and the differences between a psychologist and a psychiatrist. The main difference is in undergraduate education because a psychology degree can be obtained from the Faculty of Humanities of universities, while a psychiatry degree can be obtained as a professional examination following a general medical degree. Some psychologists take a clinical specialist psychologist exam, and they can then undertake training in a psychotherapeutic method. A psychotherapist can be qualified as a psychiatrist, but also as a doctor with other qualifications.
Urology
Urology deals with the health, congenital and acquired disorders and diseases of the urinary tract (kidney, renal pelvis, ureter, bladder, urethra) and the male genitalia, as well as inflammatory and tumorous lesions of these organs. We pay great attention to the prevention of diseases, especially the early diagnosis (inflammatory, malignant and benign tumors) and treatment of various prostate abnormalities. This provides opportunities for timely, effective treatment and successful recovery. Many people still consider urological diseases to be a sensitive issue, hence they don't like to discuss it. However, these conditions are very common, and it is important to be aware of them: to this end, we will describe the typical conditions and their symptoms, and explain the urological examination and surgery to ensure you are fully informed about the procedure. What urological services do we provide at our private hospital?Specialist urological servicesAt our private urology department, we pay great attention to disease prevention, especially to the early diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of prostate disorders - inflammatory, benign and malignant tumors - to ensure timely and effective treatment and successful recovery.Although many people consider that urological problems affect men only, they can occur in both sexes, as it deals with diseases of the urinary system - the kidneys, renal tract, bladder and urethra. Urological surgeries
Most urological problems can be treated well with medication, but for some medical conditions, surgery may be the best option. Nowadays, most urological surgery can be performed using an endoscope, a fibre-optic device inserted through the urethra or skin - even cancer surgery that would previously have seemed impossible without abdominal incision. Endoscopic surgeries are much less stressful for the patient, with faster recovery and fewer complications. Open excision surgery is only used when the disease cannot be safely treated by other means.
Anterior cruciate ligament surgery
The anterior cruciate ligament is a major determinant of knee joint stability. Tearing this ligament is one of the most common and dreaded sports injuries, though the problem may also be the result of a previous untreated, partially healed injury.
