A pilonidal cyst (also called a pilonidal sinus, or buttock abscess) is a subcutaneous cavity and duct system that usually develops between the buttocks, in the sacrum area (i.e., above the tailbone at the top of the buttocks). Its name derives from the Latin words ‘pilus’ (hair) and ‘nidus’ (nest), because the cyst often contains hair that for some reason becomes embedded under the skin
The sinuses are air-filled cavities connected to the nasal cavity, in which secretions are continuously produced. For their healthy functioning, it is essential that the secretions produced are emptied into the nasal passages without hindrance. If the openings of the cavities are not permeable due to narrowing or blockage, the stagnant secretions can cause inflammation, infection and even the formation of nasal polyps. FESS is a modern, minimally invasive surgical procedure that uses endoscopic instruments to restore the natural ventilation and secretion drainage of the sinuses, thus eliminating the complaints caused by chronic inflammation.
The size and shape of the breasts are largely genetically determined. In the case of most women, over time the breast glands decrease in size and as a result the breasts may sag, losing their firmness and fullness. The essence of combined breast augmentation is to replace the missing volume with an implant and to eliminate the sagging of drooping breasts. During combined breast augmentation, the plastic surgeon inserts an implant and lifts the breasts by excising a portion of the excess skin. After removing the excess skin and replenishing the required volume, the breasts become full and shapely again.
Breast implant replacement involves simply removing previously fitted silicone implants to replace them with new ones. This procedure should be performed at certain intervals, or due to problems with an existing implant, or possibly for aesthetic purposes.
Hammer toe is one of the most common toe deformities, occurring primarily in women. The problem most often affects the second and third toes. The joints of the toe become misaligned: the base of the toe moves upward, while the middle joint bends downward. The condition often occurs in conjunction with deformities of the big toe (such as bunions), as the altered foot structure causes the other toes to shift, become distorted, or overlap. Hammer toe is not only an aesthetic problem, but can also cause pain, difficulty wearing shoes, and walking problems. In some cases, the condition can be treated with conservative methods rather than surgery, but in advanced cases, surgery is often the only permanent solution.
