Hernia operations

A hernia is when an internal organ is dislocated from its normal anatomical position or cavity through a congenital or acquired opening. Hernias most commonly affect the abdominal wall.The development of a hernia may be asymptomatic or may be accompanied by a heavy, pulling or dull ache, together with a bulging in the affected area. The bulge size may vary. The hernia contents can usually be reinserted into the abdominal cavity through the hernia gate. However, without treatment, there is a risk of hernia exclusion.During an exclusion of the hernia, the contents forming the hernia cannot return to the abdominal cavity, which can damage the blood supply to the excluded intestinal segment, creating an emergency with the risk of life-threatening intestinal necrosis, which can only be treated with urgent surgery.

In addition to detailed internal medicine, gynecology/urology and ophthalmology specialist examinations, numerous laboratory and imaging diagnostic tests help to detect the most predominant diseases that have not yet caused complaints. We recommend our Komplex and Komplex+ manager screening package primarily to those who, in addition to the Standard manager screening, would like more emphasis on the investigation of cardiovascular and dermatological diseases. In addition to more detailed laboratory and ultrasound examinations than those included in the Standard screening package, we also perform stress ECG and heart ultrasound tests during the cardiology examination. Dementia Prevention Program

Dementia is a syndrome characterized by mental decline, degeneration, and ultimately dementia, i.e., a retrogression from a certain cognitive and intellectual level. It is caused by the progression of a serious brain disease that impairs memory, thinking, orientation, understanding, recognition and calculation skills, thus changing both personality and behavior. Dementia typically affects people over 60 years of age, but it can occur at a younger age. The main risk factors for dementia are certain chronic diseases – such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, kidney failure, obesity and other metabolic and hormonal diseases –, however the development of dementia is also closely linked to lifestyle.

Post-COVID clinic

In March 2020, a new coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2 appeared in Hungary, which has since caused lots of people to fall ill. The disease is called COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019). The most common symptoms of acute illness are fever, a dry cough, fatigue, loss of appetite, muscle pain, shortness of breath, a novel disorder of the sense of smell and taste, and a sore throat, nasal congestion, headaches, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting often occur. For most people, these complaints disappear completely after recovery. In some cases, however, the complaints persist, recur over time, or you may experience symptoms you have not experienced before. A syndrome that persists for 3 months after the onset of the first symptoms is called Post-COVID syndrome.
