Radiology is a medical discipline using various imaging procedures (x-ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT, isotope scan), which is mainly used for diagnostic purposes. The basic task and clinical practical goal of radiological imaging diagnostics is to explore the relationships between the signs seen in the images and the pathological abnormalities behind them. In our radiology department, the examinations are carried out with the help of state-of-the-art digital x-ray devices, mammographs suitable for tomosynthesis and stereotactic sampling in addition to traditional procedures and high-end ultrasound devices. In addition to the use of modern, high-quality surgical instruments, the expertise and experience of our radiologists have a decisive influence on the evaluability of examinations, therefore only highly qualified staff with appropriate professional experience await patients in our hospital. As radiology is fundamentally an interpretive science, so the professional questions and indications formulated in advance by our clinicians significantly help the effectiveness and evaluability of our targeted examinations. Cardiology

Cardiology is the medical field that examines and cures the function of the heart and blood circulation, and congenital and acquired diseases. An important part of cardiology is the prevention of cardiovascular disease.Cardiovascular diseases are the leading causes of death worldwide, accounting for more than half of all deaths in Hungary, and coronary heart disease, heart attack, angina, stroke and heart failure are outstanding in terms of their frequency. In many cases, heart disease can be asymptomatic until the late stages of the disease, when a catastrophic event can occur as a first sign, which is why prevention and early diagnosis are paramount.

Loop conization of the cervix

Loop conization, also known as a cone biopsy, is a special cervical surgery that can be used for both therapeutic and diagnostic purposes. During the procedure, a persistent cervical wound that does not heal with conservative treatment and causes inflammatory vaginal complaints is repaired for therapeutic purposes. High-risk HPV infection or abnormal cytological results may also indicate surgery, in which case the procedure also serves diagnostic purposes. In this case, the affected area of ​​the cervix is ​​removed and sent for histological examination to accurately determine the condition of the cells. The histological result determines whether further treatment is necessary or whether surgery alone is sufficient to solve the problem.

Infectology

Infectology is a medical specialty dealing with infectious diseases. These include diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, protozoa, parasites and fungi. However, complaints caused by infections can also occur in many other diseases, so an important task for the infectologist is to distinguish between infectious and non-infectious diseases.

Psychiatry

More and more people are interested in topics that start with ’psych-’, but sometimes people confuse what a psychiatrist does, and the differences between a psychologist and a psychiatrist. The main difference is in undergraduate education because a psychology degree can be obtained from the Faculty of Humanities of universities, while a psychiatry degree can be obtained as a professional examination following a general medical degree. Some psychologists take a clinical specialist psychologist exam, and they can then undertake training in a psychotherapeutic method. A psychotherapist can be qualified as a psychiatrist, but also as a doctor with other qualifications.

In the light of the results of the evaluated examinations, we provide surgical care if required, covering the entire spectrum of orthopedics, with excellent anaesthetic and surgical background, as well as complex therapeutic and rehabilitation options.

Dermatology

Dermatology is the branch of medicine that deals with the symptoms, pathology and cure of skin diseases. Because of the symptoms, dermatology often interacts with related professions such as internal medicine, allergology / immunology, pathology (histology), microbiology (bacteriology, virology, mycology), and specialized laboratory diagnostics.The dermatologist’s responsibilities include treating conditions relating to the skin, nails, hair, oral mucosa and external genitalia, as well as a number of venereal diseases. An important area of ​​dermatology is the screening of skin cancer and the differentiation of benign (non-cancerous) skin conditions. Annual screening of moles is recommended even when they cause no complaint, as the timely detection of skin cancers - including the most serious type, malignant melanoma - can save lives.

Hematology

Hematology deals with diseases of the hematopoietic and lymphatic organs, and one branch of it deals with disorders of blood clotting. Fortunately, severe hematopoietic diseases are rare, but abnormalities in blood counts are very common during routine blood sampling. Complicating matters is the fact that in Hungary, blood tests mean one thing in an everyday sense and something different in a medical sense. According to the vernacular, ‘complete blood count’ is the collective term for all tests performed on blood samples. However, doctors only mean a certain test: an examination of the blood's components, such as white blood cells, red blood cells, a platelet (thrombocyte) count and a few other parameters that are mainly indicative of the condition of the blood (for example hemoglobin, the hematocrit level, or the distribution of white blood cells). Quantitative changes in any of these can disturb the functioning of the body, whether the amount is higher or lower than necessary. It is also possible for several different cellular elements to increase or decrease simultaneously.

Pediatric endocrinology

Endocrinology deals with disorders of the endocrine glands (the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands, ovaries, testicles, and part of the pancreas). Pediatric endocrinological diseases differ from adult diseases in many respects, as the disease processes affect a growing and developing organism. Disorders of the hormonal system also affect the metabolism (disorders of body weight, energy expenditure, etc.) and the functioning of many other organ systems (nervous system, cardiovascular system, immune system, etc.), hence there can be a wide range of consequences.
