Urological surgeries
Our premium in-patient department offers 3 operating theatres and 24 patient rooms with 33 beds to meet all your needs: the highest professional standards and an exclusive environment for safe and relaxed recovery.
Our hospital offers both one-day and multi-day surgical care. Surgical operations are always preceded by a detailed and careful examination. The goal of the examination is to get the patient into the operating room in the best possible condition, so that the healing is faster and the number of complications is significantly reduced.
Our most common urological surgeries:
Hydrocele (scrotal swelling) surgery
A build-up of serous fluid in the scrotum, called a hydrocele – which in some cases can be accompanied by or develop into a hernia - is often a congenital disorder, but it can also develop due to inflammation, injury or cancer. In many cases the cause of the disease is unknown.
The testicle is accessed by an incision in the scrotum or in the groin, in order to open and drain the fluid-filled sac.

Bladder tumor removal (TURBT)
TURBT (transurethral bladder tumor resection) surgery, i.e., the removal of a bladder tumor through the urethra, may be necessary for bladder tumors or other bladder lesions.

Cystoscopy
A cystoscopy is a diagnostic procedure that examines the urethra and bladder to detect possible abnormalities such as urethral stricture, prostate enlargement, bladder sphincter dysfunction, tumors, or bladder stones.
A rigid or flexible optical examination device is inserted into the urethra, which allows for a thorough examination of the urethra and bladder.

Ureteral Double J catheterization
A ureteral stent (DJ catheter) may be necessary for therapeutic and preventive purposes if urine cannot drain properly from the kidney.
A DJ catheter is a special device that is placed in the ureter to ensure the free flow of urine. It helps relieve pain caused by kidney stones and ensures the drainage of urine in case of infection or urinary obstruction.

Surgical circumcision
Surgical circumcision may be performed in cases of constricted foreskin, foreskin pinching, chronic inflammation of the glans, precancerous conditions on the glans or foreskin, and at the patient's request for religious or non-religious reasons. Circumcision involves the surgical removal of the foreskin that covers and protects the end of the penis (glans).

TRUS biopsy – Transurethral ultrasound and prostate biopsy
A TRUS (transrectal ultrasound) biopsy, i.e., transrectal (rectal) or transperineal (perineal) ultrasound-guided prostate sampling, is required when an elevation in PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) level and/or a physical digital rectal examination of the prostate and/or a multiparametric MRI scan of the prostate has raised suspicion of malignancy.

Prostate resection (TURP or HoLEP)
TURP (transurethral resection of the prostate), is the partial or complete removal or incision of the prostate through the urethra, whereas HoLEP (holmium laser enucleation of the prostate) may be necessary in cases of urinary incontinence, if conservative medical treatment has failed.
As a result of the surgery, complaints related to frequent urination are reduced in most cases.

Renal catheterization
Percutaneous renal catheterization may be necessary when urine can no longer drain properly from the kidney or kidneys. With the help of this procedure, urine is drained from the kidney via a thin catheter through the skin.
