Complex orthopedics services

At Dr. Rose Private Hospital, we have a dedicated orthopedic department for those seeking treatment for musculoskeletal problems.

Orthopedics

Orthopedics deals with the treatment of congenital and acquired disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Musculoskeletal disorders include diseases of the bones and joints of the limbs, some muscular diseases and disorders of the soft tissues surrounding the spine and vertebrae. Whatever the musculoskeletal complaint, our excellent orthopedic specialists use the latest diagnostic techniques and tools to make an accurate diagnosis. In the light of the evaluated examinations’ results - covering the entire spectrum of orthopedics - we provide surgical care if required, with excellentanesthesiology and surgical background, as well as complex therapeutic and rehabilitation options.

What orthopedic services do we provide in our private hospital?

Specialist orthopedic services

In our orthopedic department, we provide a complete diagnosis of disorders, injuries and diseases of the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments and related tissues, and develop treatment options based on the results of the examination.

The first step in the examination is to establish a case history. This is followed by physical examinations, during which the specialist examines the affected area, checks the stability and range of motion of the limb concerned, the sensory and motor reflexes, and evaluates the visual changes. If necessary, to make a more precise diagnosis, the specialist may decide to carry out further tests.

The following imaging procedures are performed in our clinic:

  • X-ray examination: they can help us get a picture of bones, joints and the spine and can help us detect any fractures, dislocations, cysts or other abnormalities.
  • CT scan: this is recommended in cases where a more detailed picture is needed because other tests cannot give a clear diagnosis.
  • MRI scan: a completely painless and safe procedure that provides a precise image of soft tissues such as joints, tendons, muscles and nerves to help diagnose disease.
  • Ultrasound scan: joint ultrasound can be used to map the condition of joints (shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles), ligaments and tendons and to visualize inflammation, swelling, tears or other damage.

Conservative (non-surgical) methods include pharmacotherapy, which can be used for inflammatory complaints, muscle relaxation or pain relief, and physical therapy or physiotherapy to improve movement coordination and balance or to promote rehabilitation after injury. However, there are cases where surgery is the only way to relieve musculoskeletal pain and restore normal range of motion to the affected parts of the body.

  • Knee replacement surgery
