Fractional microneedle RF treatment

Fractional microneedle RF (radio frequency) treatment is one of the most modern non-surgical skin rejuvenation techniques available today, providing effective, reliable, precise skin tightening in the face, neck and cleavage areas. The result is an improvement in the quality of the skin, resulting in more elastic, younger looking skin, with a reduction in wrinkles and acne scars. DeAgeEx technology allows the use of radio-frequency lifting combined with the microneedle procedure, making it one of the most modern, safe, effective, non-surgical skin rejuvenation methods.

When is fractional microneedle RF treatment warranted?

The treatment serves to smooth out crow's feet and wrinkles, tighten open pores, correct acne scars and bags and dark circles under the eyes, as well as enhance the radiance of the skin and restore a healthy tone to the face, neck and cleavage areas. It is recommended as a preventive treatment from the age of 20-30, or later for skin rejuvenation, and can be combined with other interventions.

What happens at the first consultation?

Fractional microneedle RF treatment should always be performed in consultation with our dermatologist. The specialist will assess the condition of your skin and determine if this procedure is the most appropriate for you. If you have previously had facial rejuvenation, wrinkle filling, or any other type of facial intervention, be sure to tell your doctor as this may determine the type of treatment chosen.

Preparing for the intervention

In contrast to the preparations for plastic surgeries, no further examinations are needed following that performed at the consultation, however we recommend the introduction of certain lifestyle changes to enhance the outcome. We advise that you do not smoke, thereby promoting skin regeneration processes.

What happens during the procedure?

As a first step in the treatment, the practitioner disinfects the skin surface to be treated, then anesthetizes it. They select the treatment head and make the necessary adjustments on the radio frequency equipment to apply the most appropriate treatment depth and radio frequency energy for your skin's needs. The treatment head has 49 very fine, specially coated, insulated microneedle electrodes evenly distributed in a 15x15mm array. During the RF skin rejuvenation treatment, with each ’shot’ the treatment head penetrates to the preset skin depth with all the microneedles simultaneously. The inserted needles receive a pulse of RF current at a preset energy level, which generates localized heat. This localized heat stimulates the collagen fibers, resulting in increased collagen production. The needles enter the skin for just one-tenth of a second, with only minimal discomfort. At the end of the procedure, you will receive aftercare. The total duration of the RF treatment is approximately 90 minutes.

What results can you expect from the intervention?

The heat generated by the radio frequency current pulse stimulates the production of collagen fibers, which are responsible for skin tightness, and the micro-lesions formed in the skin accelerate the processes of wound healing and skin regeneration. The result is spectacular and natural, with the full effect of the treatment noticeable after 3 weeks and lasting for up to 1.5-2 years, depending on age. Wrinkles are smoothed out and skin blemishes are visibly reduced.

Recovery, aftercare

Immediately after fractional radio frequency treatment, reddening of the skin occurs, typically for a few hours, which is a natural phenomenon as the procedure stimulates the upper layers of the skin. The next day you will no longer have to reckon with this symptom, nor will you have to interrupt your daily routine following the procedure, as you can take care of your affairs and return to work within a few hours. The dermatologist will tell you about any temporary side effects at the consultation. After treatment, protect the treated skin surface with at least a 30-factor sunscreen for two weeks. After one year, a maintenance treatment is recommended, according to individual needs.
